How to Stop Alerts and Subscriptions like news from your Airtel Sim :

Here is the solution :  Send an SMS to 121 with  just STOP in the message area. Airtel will now provide you with the services you have subscribed. Now you may select the serial number of the option you want to un-subscribe and send the message again to 121. Repeat the process if you want to un-subscribe from multiple alerts/services.

To re-activate or subscribe again :

Message START to 121 and you will be provided options to subscribe to the services again.
